Latest Progress Report

• Out of 200 houses, 152 paid and this represents 76% paid. We need at least 75-80% participation. Another 12 residents have agreed to make payments in the next few days. But we still fall short of the target number. Your cooperation in making prompt payments is highly appreciated.
• Collection is urgent and we would like to remind all participating residents, i.e., those with green stickers to pay up, preferably for 6 months period.
• Please be informed that Mr. Jude C Raj of SD 9/9 and En. Mohd Alim of SD 9/9A have been appointed as acting street leaders and they are authorised to act on behalf of the committee to expedite the collection process.
• An incident involving a guard being slapped on the 14th of this month at about 8.30 pm by a non-participating resident who lives in 9/9C, Garuda security has lodged a police report and we do not know of the outcome yet.
• Guard's name is Deepak Busnet. Apparently he was slapped for slow opening of the barrier arm due and when he was taking down particulars of visitors who were trying to get into the zone at the same time.
• We would like to ask residents to voice out your concerns or suggestions through proper channel like our designated email or contact anyone of the committee members for further discussion.
• We urge residents not to take actions into your own hands. Use proper channels to submit your grievances. This is a community effort and everyone should be responsible for their own actions.

Incident Status Report

Happy to report that since implementation from September 2009, no security incidence in our zone has been reported or logged untill today.

However, incident involving visitors unhappy with the need to register was noted on 05 Dec 2009 where a visitor to a resident in 9/7A apparently got angry at the need to register and showed a parang at the security guards.

We need to ask all residents to remind their visitors to cooperate with the security arrangements for this area.

However, in other area, in SD 7, on 1st Dec, a Toyota Hilux was stolen. The automatic gates were opened after dismantling the screws. Whether there were guards present or not is unknown.

Notice | Security Program Payment

Dear Residents of Iris and Ixora,

We would like to highlight the fact that the collection for Security Program has been slow this time around. So far only about 30% has paid and this trend does not guarantee continued success of our program.

Therefore, in order to further undestand your concerns or issues we are again calling for a get together this Sunday Dec 13, 2009 at 5pm near exit guard house. We also welcome those residents who wish to make payments on that same day. Please bring along your cheque books.

Notice | Security Program Payment Dateline

Anyone interested to make payments for the next three or six months is welcomed to do so this Sunday (Dec. 06, 2009) at 5pm near Exit Guard House (SD9/6). Please bring along your cheque books since we only accept cheque payment.

Karnival Komuniti Bandar Sri Damansara

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED

The Bandar Sri Damansara Residents Association (BSDRA) is organising a ‘Karnival Komuniti Bandar Sri Damansara.’ The theme for our Carnival is “Bridging BSD Communities.” The objective of this carnival is: To establish close relationship amongst the residents in the neighbourhood. BSDRA has arranged lots of ‘fun-tastic’ programs which include interesting games, activities for kids, parents and of course not forgetting that food is plentiful. Details of the carnival are as follows:

• Time: 9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.
• Venue: Persiaran Margosa, Bandar Sri Damansara (same road with our Balai Polis)

Welcome to our new Blogspot

On behalf of the Iris&Ixora security program Chairman and committee members, we would like to welcome all residents to join us in contributing ideas and making our security program a success.

As a start we would like to recap the result of our last meeting held besides the SD9/6 guard house on November 22, 2009 at 5 pm.

• Garuda Security has been awarded the contract to provide security services for our zone, i.e., Jalan Kenanga SD9/6 - SD9/9 (a.k.a Iris and Ixora)
• There are about 200 unit of houses in our zone
• 157 houses participate so far (78%)
• Expenses: RM9,600 per month for Garuda Security
• Plan for CCTV in the future
• Cynthia was appointed external auditor
• Issue of toilet facility for guards was raised, but the decision was deferred to a later date
• Payment by cheques only
• A notice board will be installed near the guard house
• Use of email and sms to disseminate information to residents
• A report on incidents either monthly or quarterly is required (for newsletter and to share with police). Garuda Security to provide the report.
• Reminder..next payment is due in December 2009. Please make your payment promptly to ensure continuous success of our security program.
